Not sure if this is different from what you're doing. On the youtube window with the video you want to copy, below the video player, there should be a hot link that says "more share options", click it. There will be a section that appears saying "Copy and paste this link to an email or instant message", with a small window containing a URL address. Copy the address by placing the cursor at the left edge, holding the left mouse button, and dragging the cursor over the address to the right. Be sure you get the whole address. It should be long enough that it will scroll over a bit. Sometimes there's a glitch that prevents it from scrolling, but just keep doing it until you have the entire address highlighted. Put your cursor over the highlighted area and copy (hold Ctrl + C). Go to the place you want to paste, make sure there's a text cursor blinking, and hold Ctrl + V. You can also right click and chose copy or paste from the drop menu. That always works for me.

I know you're not that computer illiterate, mercer, just wanted to make sure I didn't leave anything out.
