Your high school's most famous alumni...

FCB, there is a mad amount of rep points for a yearbook picture of Tibor.
 Naturally, skimming my yearbooks was the first thing that occurred to me. Luckily, I'm going to be back in T-town over Labor Day weekend and will be taking a walk down memory lane. Though, I may be easily blackmailed by tibor if he can come up with my pics - they suck. :p

tibs: My dad used to be an administrator for the school district and still keeps up on the goings on. I'll see what he knows about our alma mater. I remember reading a rumor somewhere that TPS is consolidating high schools and Bowsher will be demolished. Kinda sad, if true. We'll join Jimmy Jackson in the ranks of those who's high schools are no more :(

Nice thread, BTW

Of course given my ethnicity picking me out shouldn't be that hard. actually, there is only one other guy in the class that you may confuse me with.

Wasn't Aaron Purdie in your class? I know he went to UK. I don't think he stuck around the NFL.

Yep, Aaron Purdie and I were pretty good friends. His dad is an amazing jazz drummer, BTW. Eric Tucker was a friend of mine too, I think he went on to the Air Force Academy and played football. His mom taught german at Bowsher.

Not necessarily in the following order:

James Dickey (wrote "Deliverance")
Wyche Fowler (US Senator)
RugbyBuck
Forrest Gregg
Sam Wyche

I'm quite sure that James Dickey was actually referring to Rugby when he wrote, "You've got a mighty pretty set of teeth, boy"

Of course that still puts him ahead, quite rightly, of any forme Bengals coach.

btw, I'm pretty sure Hawg is the most famous Alum from my high school... lets just say, that I don't know that he isn't....all of you guys know him... so... that might put him over the top. Just depend if you think hawg is more famous that Matt Underwood from the Cleveland Indians Radio network.

One of the funniest things in high school was when they had James Dickey Day and he was supposed to speak to the whole school. We all had to wait in the gym for almost an hour, relatively early in the morning, and then he showed up falling down drunk and nearly knocked over the podium. Now that's a role model.

Damnit you beat me to it. I was going to say you were the most famous. I forgot about MU even though he came to visit one of my classes when he was just starting out at Channel 3. I think we had an astronaut too.

Luke Perry graduated from the school I started out at. My mom went to school with Annie Potts (Ghostbusters) and babysat golfer Kenny Perry back in the day.

Yeah... we had an astronaut... not a good one though...

Its pretty damned sad when the best Alums from our HS are so bad they drive us to mentioning 90210 alums and Annie Potts... and they didn't even go there.

Bernie Kosar - Boardman High School

We also had a guy who became a fairly popular porn actor, but I could not remember his real, or porn name, and have not been able to find it online.

CCI probably knows who he is :wink2:

I've heard Jeff is a really good dude. He was always one of my favorite pitchers to follow stemming from his days with the Reds. I was hoping he'd come back to Cincy after LA, but it never worked out. At least he didn't sign with the Pirates :)

I play minor league football, and our coach of the team I played for last year is a fairly well known man in the CH area- Terry Feick. Know him? There were quite a few dudes from the House that played for us.

BTW, quite a few= three or so.
