While the casual fan may not remember that, it was a big conspiracy theory at the time in the 80's (I don't know the year off the top of my head) that they were gonna pull a "colts" in the middle of the night and move to Miami or Denver or wherever.

My recollection is most of the speculation and worry was the Indians were going to Tampa. The Devil Rays, now just Rays, did not exist yet and the city had constructed a domed sports facility with no tenant.

Looks like they're going to play

Starting for the White Sox today, John Danks....who has had an ERA in the 4.7s each of the last 3 years. Hopefully the offense doesn't decide to disappear after scoring 7 runs the other day.

To be picky, the Indians actually had 3 games postponed, but one (Opening Day) was made up the next day. Meanwhile, Joe Girardi of the Yankers had a little sissy crying fit about their two postponements last week and how awful the schedule was for the Yankers. To their credit, I don't think Tito or any Indians players complained at all about the weather or the schedule. Did you see the Rays forecast for tonight's game? "72 degrees and a chance of catwalks." Luv it!

Fucking hockey preempting tonight's game which means I miss out on one of the very few times I have a chance to watch the Indians on TV. Fuck you, Lightning! And of course none of the usual radio stations actually have the game on their streams. Ugh.
