agreed. they will slow him down a little more than everyone else, but the NFL will be the first time we see him be slightly contained.
Leinart on the other hand, maybe slowed down a bit more by that pass rush.

Carroll HATED the NFL, no way he goes back.
He loves what he's doing at USC too much to leave it.

Petey hated that he didn't have personnel control in the NFL, loves that he does at USC.... would go back, I think, if he had that control in the NFL.... (Well, that and a pile of lettuce).
A lot of peopel point the the fact ath he could have gone to the 49ers last year and didn't... that's a point, but another point is that that 49ers are a trainwreck organization with trainwreck owners.

In 2003, Oklahoma was rated AP #1 from pre-season until their CCG whipping by Kansas St.
We were at #2, #3, #5, #4, #3 prior to the Wiscy game.

fair enough bb73, I do remember some publications touting us as the team to beat in 03 tho. Maybe it was just the athlon's of the world.

*raises hand* i said they'd loose 2. notre dame gave em a scare and they had to come back from behind in a couple of games. not to mention they still have texas to play. reggie bush is a lot better than i thought he was and i thought he was the best player in the nation last year. well... he's better than that. usc's defense is better than i thought it would be. they still suck, but they are much better than i anticipated. i still think texas will beat usc in the nc. i think texas is just as fast and a lot more physical. though im not as confident in that outcome as i have been in the past. *shrug* im more than willing to admit that usc is better than i expected them to be. however, the reason i thought they would drop 2 games is because i thought their cockyness would come back to haunt them. i thought they would overlook someone and take a hit. they were lucky enough/good enough or flat out didn't play anyone to keep that from happening. maybe i underestimated usc. maybe i underestimated carol. maybe their opponents just sucked that bad. probably a combo of the 3...
we're just as talented as usc and we didn't go undefeated. superior talent doesn't always = success. but then, playing in the pac-10 sure doesn't hurt the ol likelyhood of success odds.
