You Guys Should See My Nuts!

Every morning I marvel at how nicely they are hanging.

It wasn't like that last year. Pickings were sparse and what little there was the squirrels got to first.

I did not get a single Buckeye from the entire grove in my back yard. I was half afraid I was going to lose the trees.

But not this year. There are clumps of nuts hanging everywhere and the squirrels are leaving them alone so far.

Last time I saw a potential harvest like this was ...... 2002!

Sounds like a good omen to me.

Lucky for you, my supply is gone except for my necklaces, keychains, ect. I don't even have one for my pocket. I do have a buckeye tree (shrub) in my back yard that I planted. It has one buckeye hanging, plant is only 6 years old. Don't know when I'll be back home to refresh my supply! :(
