MOORINGSPORT ? A Mooringsport man died in a fiery crash about 4:48 p.m. Thursday at state Highway 1 at state Highway 169 just east of Mooringsport.

Preliminary investigations show a Nissan Xterra was headed north on Highway 1 and to a 1998 Chevrolet pickup while turning west onto Highway 169, causing the two vehicles to collide, according to sheriff's office spokeswoman Cindy Chadwick.

    Stolen Car Fiery Goodness

Two unidentified men died in a fiery crash in Lane County, trapped in a stolen car.
Reports say the driver of a 1994 Honda Accord heading south on Dorsey Lane near Highway 36 was apparently moving too fast to negotiate a curve. The car left the road and ended up upside-down in a ditch.
The two men inside became trapped, and the car caught fire.

    Second Stolen Car Fiery Goodness

A Louisville man, who police believe was driving a stolen car, was killed when the vehicle crashed into a wall in Campbell County Tuesday night.
Bobby L. Parks III, 25, was dead at the scene of the fiery accident that occurred at the end of the Three Mile Road exit ramp from eastbound Interstate 275 in Highland Heights shortly before 11 p.m.

"At the end of the ramp he had to turn right or left ... but he went straight and hit a wall at a high rate of speed," Mullen said.
Police "didn't even get close to him," he said.
Parks was pulled from the burning car, Mullen said, but he died at the scene.
    No one else was hurt.
