Oriole pitching has been better than expected, but their hitting has been less than expected. Frustrating as hell if they go home tonight with all of the missed chances.

I guess that's the outside view, this is their hitting - especially since Markakis went out.

The pitching is about where it was too with the notable exception of Jim Johnson.

I know they rely on the home run. Unfortunately, the ones they've gotten have been solo shots. If they just could get one with all those runners on...

Holding the Yanks to 4 runs in 24 innings in Yankee Stadium is a bit better than their season ERA.

But they have the lead now. Let's see another game five tomorrow.

yeah but down the stretch they pitched almost exactly like this - down to the two game Johnson blew (even though they won) in September.
