He's back as well... happy to have him.Would love to see him return...
They don't have a #4 in the WR room. Their hopes of having one next year are likely awaiting a high school senior that will not be enrolling early.I love Xavier….not sure if this is a great thing tbh.
Xavier is a great special teams player. But at WR I don’t think he’s top 5.
At RB, I don’t think he’s top 4.
Im just not sure having to work him into game plans to make him happy would make much sense.
And hopefully, no promises of touches are being made….but if we’re being honest,I don’t think he’s at top of the WR or RB room.

They didn't even have a 3rd RB by November.
There's also the troubling question of if he moved back to corner, if he'd be among their top 4 there too.
He was really good out of the back field though and I wouldn't mind seeing him used there on 3rd down to run routes. He's probably slightly more explosive than Evan Pryor. If he loves to play corner, it’d make sense.
Our RB room is especially deep now.
I don’t think he’s close to top 5 WR on our roster. I think he got the reps bc OSU had a system in place among WR’s.
He is a Swiss Army knife and I’m not knocking him at all. I just think if tOSU is operating at highest level of efficiency, I don’t really see Xavier on the field unless we’re back at a horrible injury situation.
But I think he’s a leader and a great locker-room guy. So him coming back should be a net positive.

Everytime he touches the ball though he makes plays. IMO the kid should touch the ball more.
Who is this 4th wr?If he loves to play corner, it’d make sense.

They need a lot of those, especially with Julian still working to put it together, Carnell Tate needing a year to bulk up, and Brandon arriving so late.He is a Swiss Army knife and I’m not knocking him at all. Ballard can't get on the field when most of the WRs are broken or in the NFL.
The frosh did not get any PT, and frankly were not nearly as well regarded as most Hartline signees. The 4th best guy coming next season might be a better prospect than all of them, and the top-3 are absolute monsters.

Shouldn't shrink though... could just show a little more trust in our younger skill players.I think Brandon is going to be our #3 by week 1. He’s that good.
Just my opinion.
I think Xavier might have special packages put in for him and that is cool. I just hope whatever packages he has can be executed by multiple personnel….Day’s biggest weakness continues to be how the playbook shrinks based on specific injuries.
