I'm going to have to dig up the links on all this but, in summary:

- The victim knew the Brewsters
(This may preclude hate crime charges).
- There was prior domestic violence involving Bobby Brewster and the victim
- There are prior assaults and violence, unrelated to the current story, including either murder or manslaughter involving the accused - attempted matricide by machete.
- The leader of the clan Frankie was initially charged in 1994 with 1st degree murder, later reduced to manslaughter - her victim, an 84 year old woman.
In all, over 108 complaints and charges involving this group are on the Logan Police Blotter.
All this on NPR Radio today.

You might as well call it what it is - Deliverance, or The Hills Have Eyes. Fucking Creepy.

So.....the Officer would have seen the injured white chick begging "help me", tipped his cap and walked away? Or do you mean that one or more of them would have had a new "wife" way back down on the farm within days?

I mean some of the local boys would have taken out a little mountain justice on the captors. They would have taken them out to the woods, killed them, and the bodies never would have been found. There are quite a few rednecks down there (no shock) who rely on themselves to be the judicial system. Considering people disappear down there for crossing union picket lines, this would not be out of the ordinary.
