WTF??? Snow in N'Awlins!!

like the genius policy of no downtown plowing until 4 inches accumulate?

or the mass panic & closings over a forecast calling for 3-5 inches?

if i didn't know you any better i would think there was a sarcastic tone to your reply. :p

where i grew up there was no plowing period outside of the main highways and occasionally main street. i lived on what was essentially an old logging road for 3 years. "snow plowing" was performed by whoever needed to be at work the earliest and didn't have any sick days left.

In my day, we didn't have snow plows. We'd have to shovel paths in 23' drifts with our bear hands until they were bleeding. We also didn't have long-sleaved coats or gloves. Instead we would have to rub a burning peice of coal on our bleeding hands in order to keep our fingers from falling off.....that's the way it was....and we liked it!

Shit. If you hadn't evolved yet, then you are old!
