70 bucks for a 7 piece set, or 80 bucks for a 160 piece set? I prefer the standard wrench and socket set. There are very few occasions where I need a flex ratcheting wrench, and a regular wrench wouldn't work. There have been many times that I have needed a ratchet with an extension, and a flex ratcheting wrench just wouldn't cut it.

i have two reasons i want the ratchet feature, the question is it worth the extra ten bucks for the "flex" or is a pain the ass
Without. They are great for removing nuts off long bolts. I have used them for 42 years on autos and HVAC

I paid the extra money for a small set of the flex. They kick ass. Any time you can't rotate 360 or apply a socket they are a time saver. And for tight spaces they are unbeatable.

Depending on what you're doing with them, the "flex" wrenches are also really good for busting your friggin knuckles...

Yeah... the wobble socket does kick some ass.

Also... if you want a pretty good set of tools cheap... buy the crappiest odd lots of Craftsmen you can find on E-bay... take the worst ones you can put together into a set and take them to Sears and trade them in for new ones... they aren't kidding when they say Lifetime Gaurantee.
