Gift wrapping services?

Locally a church volunteers and provides gift wrapping service at the mall. Really good job, (3 packages per customer / visit), they won't even take any on the spot donations.

Plus they give you a piece of cane candy with a sticker telling you to

"Have a Merry Christmas, and God Bless You"

Well God Bless Them Everyone

Gift bags, gift bags, gift bags. All you need is a sheet of tissue paper crumpled around the present. I don't mean those silly $2 bags, either. You can get a pile of inexpensive ones in most grocery or craft stores - just look with the regular party plates and such rather than in the Christmas aisle.

If it has to look like you "tried," get a little bag of confetti or a few pieces of chocolate and dump them on top. Ta-da!

Brilliant!

We have accumulated so many gift bags over the years I could open my own store. I use them for everything. My wife still bitch's though because I apparently do not know how to properly stuff the tissue paper in the top of the bag so it looks nice.

When we were kids my Dad would just cut out a strip of paper as wide as the top of the box and tape it to each end. We always knew what gifts were from him.

I don't find wrapping too hard, at least on things that are the same shape -- like CDs, DVDs, games, boxes, etc. The hard stuff I usually put in a gift bag, or just put in a box. I don't wrap anything that's too weird.
