WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

Where Pryor may be deficient vs other fourth and fifth receivers in terms of contributions on special teams (at least right now) he'd make up for it in gadget plays, red zone packages, and the fact that the team doesn't have to carry a third QB. He's not an NFL starter, but he's serviceable in the worst case scenario (and frankly, I think he's even with Manziel).

Who gets dropped though? Not dropping whatever the new Hoyer's name is, Manziel is still early (trade bait... but who the fuck would take that now?), and can't bank Shaw forever ?

Everyone said manziel was a mistake when they grabbed him. Now the best they could probably get for him is a 5th round pick. He's got to go. He's not going to ever start. All he will do is come off the bench when everyone is fed up with the offense. He may shine for a half but that's it. Best case scenario is they end up like brocos and tebow. Time to cut the losses. He doesn't have the arm or the qb brain.

I'm willing to at least give him the preseason to show that he's improved, but I got burned when Weeden looked like a Pro Bowler for a couple games in his second preseason and then shit the bed as soon as the season started.

This is the problem w/a bust QB in the 1st.
Offloading now for a 5th would be admitting gross incompetence, and after all the hype and tshirt campaigns that'd go down terribly.
Few front offices are willing to pull that trigger. Even if they already know it's a lost cause.

Honestly if Manziel doesn't show big improvement from last season during the preseason I'd cut him (maybe trade to Dallas for a low pick), go with Lewis as the backup, Pryor as the emergency, and Shaw on the PS.

I'll be disappointed next Thursday if TP doesn't get in the game until the 4th quarter and then they keep the ball on the ground the whole time. I think they'll give him a shot since they know he's either on the roster or gone. They have 6 weeks to determine if he can be an NFL WR that can help this year so they need to see what he does when the bullets are flying.

He's may need more reps blocking than receiving.

If we know anything about Cleveland is that the front office and gross incompetence go hand in hand.

Hamstrung: Terrelle Pryor ‘doubtful’ in return to Ohio Stadium

The former Ohio State quarterback and current Cleveland Browns wide receiver suffered a hamstring injury during Tuesday’s practice. With the Browns set to scrimmage at Ohio Stadium Friday, head coach Mike Pettine said it was doubtful Pryor would be able to play in it.

CLEVELAND BROWNS GM RAY FARMER: FORMER OHIO STATE QUARTERBACK TERRELLE PRYOR 'AMAZING' IN TRANSITION TO WIDE RECEIVER

Amazing. Phenomenal. Impressive. Interesting. Wow.

Those were only a few ways Cleveland Browns General Manager Ray Farmer described former Ohio State quarterback Terrelle Pryor Thursday morning after the Columbus Morning Sports Report.

"It's evident that God sprinkled a little more dust on him than the rest of us, a lot of us," Farmer said. "He is tall, he's big, he's fast, he's agile. He makes it look real easy even though he's just come into playing wide receiver."
