QB/WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

PSU fans seem so adamant that they are a major player here and lock for his final 3, yet he says himself that the only locks are us, WV and Tennessee (where did they come from?). Anyways, it seems like a 2 horse race between us and WV, with Ohio State having a nice lead at the moment.

UT has been a behind the scenes player in this for awhile now. They are not to be counted out.

Not surprising he counted out Penn St after JoePa's "my people came over on boats, and so did your people" comment (see prior post #?).

Tennessee could be a real contender, as Eric Ainge will complete his eligibility this year, and don't know if there's any super stud in the wings. Man, I hate this. I have been pissed at Tennessee ever since they stole the Munoz boy away from us, and now Martin, plus the db last year also. Phat Phil seems to have a knack of whacking OSU right in the recruits. Anyway, that's probably another thread.........

I get more worried as the time goes on, and Pryor doesn't commit to OSU (I know, there's gonna be a bunch of people who beat me up for wailing and gnashing my teeth for being 'negative'). But I kinda figure he'd be like Clausen, commit early and then actively recruit some studs to play with him (or maybe I hoped) like Brewster and Adams are doing. Is there a timeline for Pryor to commit? Or is it going to be the Army All-Star game? Or does any of our insiders  have an inkling whether he is a 'silent' commit?

patience is a virtue.

worrying will not change anything. from all the indicators that are public knowledge, we are in a good position. Tennessee is too as well as WVU. If PSU insiders still want to keep their hopes up then that is good too. Just enjoy the season and leave the recruiting to JT and Co. They have done an excellent job so far. The seed has been planted and it will grow.

Best fit to that bill would be Crompton, but there are others.
Commited in 2005 - highly rated 5* QB Jonathan Crompton. Eligible through 2009, most likely would play both years unless one of COleman or Stephens shows better stuff.
In 2007 4* and 6th ranked nationally Coleman (an in-state recruit).
In 2006 4* and 11th ranked nationally Nick Stephens out of Texas, choosing the Vols over Maize and Blue.

What if he's not currently committed to OSU, but actively recruiting for the Buckeyes?

Anyone else find those pics pretty lame? It's like Bob L was only there for about 15 minutes and had to bolt. I mean, come on, "Terrell takes a breather", Terrell's sporting a different head band, etc. Hardly any action shots...

"Terrelle thinks about what he is going to do after the scrimmage"

"Terrelle wears a red practice jersey since it is not a real game"

"Terrelle is tall"

"Terrelle is not playing basketball in this photo"

"Terrelle obviously looks good in red, and I definitely have a man crush on him"

 Bob is still good at what he does, though

christian, brooklyn, NY: do u think WVU will be able to sign either Star Jackson or Terrell Pryor..

Craig Haubert: WVU is in the running for both and have i would say a good shot -- but not great with either. I think that still at this point in time with Pryor it is Ohio State's game to lose. Though i do think that if Pryor wants to play QB in college that WVU is the better fit. With Jackson (a decision should be coming soon) i think he goes to Bama - but is suppose to be in Morgantown before he announces.

Brian (Brooklyn): So PSU is pretty much out of the Terrell Pryor running?

Craig Haubert: I don't want to say out of the running, but i would put them in the long shot category.

I don't understand Haubert's logic re: TP a better fit @ WVU.

I don't get the feeling from watching TP on film that his game translates more to Troy Smith than Pat White or vice versa. I think TP has his own pattern of play (from what limited film I have seen) and can reinvent the QB position no matter where he goes.

From a QB development standpoint, I think he is better served @ OSU. But that's how I roll.
