WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

It happens all the time, at every school. JT was THERE. He WOULD NOT let a recruiting violation take place while he watched....in the same room.

From my understanding, as long as the former player is not actually recruiting the kid to that school...contact is allowed by the NCAA.

you mean like Joe Mcknight and Reggie Bush? Remember McKnight changed his story about never talking to reggie after signing day?

totally different. mcknight's claim was that bush called him on the phone and told him that there was nothing to worry about regarding NCAA violations.

McKnight signed a national letter of intent with USC on Wednesday and made comments during a news conference that seemed to suggest communications involving former Trojan Reggie Bush, who is now with the New Orleans Saints.

Former players are forbidden from contacting prospective recruits, their relatives or guardians.

thanks for the info everybody. i didn't mean to start a storm.

Give me some greenies and we can call it even.

I think all is well here and we should be excited to hear the updates. Can you imagine how it must feel to meet JT AND TM and have both OSU head coaches tell you how excited they would be to have you in S&G?

These are great days for Terrelle...:osu:

I just read over the NCAA bylaws (13.01.4 and the exception that covers this 13.1.2.2 (g)) on this topic, and as far as I can tell, Pryor and Smith did nothing wrong provided:
1. It was unavoidably incidental and not prearranged, and
2. they did not talk about the athletic program nor did Troy attempt to recruit.

Given that each of them were in a relatively small area, it would be easy for them to "accidentally" run into one another, so proving it was planned would be nearly impossible. Given that no one was with the two of them when they went off and talked, it is impossible to know what they talked about (unless one of them decides to discuss that).

As such, there is no obvious violation here.

Good detective work, sir.

Pryor and the Brew Crew did not ride in the buses with the rest of the kids. They got personal service from a special coach.

OMG ... does this make me paparazzi?

EDIT: I am standing against gate 30 at the shoe facing east with the aquatics bldg in bkrnd and not in the woods as it may appear. It is my lack of photo taking skill.
