WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

After watching the pratice on BTN, I must say Pryor look's so much better throwing the ball. He has transformed his montion, and look's much smoother. The kid has put it togather IMO.

Coach Sis really has put in work with him. I think it's funny given all the bitching people did when he was hired.

I agree that he appeared much smoother and just has the look of a more confident QB. The last key will be his decision making.

I just watched The Game from 2006 and was reminded of why Troy was such an amazing QB. He had the ability to read defenses so well and find the guy that was open. I remember Troy saying he had an internal 3 second clock telling him to get rid of the ball. That can only come with time. How fun would it be to see the Bucks lining up 4-5 wides and scoring TDs at will like during the Troy days? Not that I don't like watching some smashmouth. But having the ability to do both will be wonderful again. :) The guys from the Big ten Network seem to think that the key to our offense will be the running game. If the RBs get going, it will obviously open so much more up for TP in the passing game.

I'm starting to feel really good about the possibilities that TP and this offense have this year. I'm trying to be realistic, but I can't shake the feeling that the floodgates might just open up this year. :)

He's getting a lot of zip on his balls now? :paranoid:

God, I hope not.

The way that TP is listening to his coaches, along with the work ethic and leadership qualities he's showing, all indicate that this could be a very special season.
I agree with you - I didn't know if the work ethic was there going into this off season.. looking like a good year indeed.

i think the common man is funny but he doesn't know much about college football imo.

he hated on pryor all year and kept saying how the big ten was terrible. i actually got on air and said the big ten is terrible compared to who? and he had some bs response that i didnt understand.

he really wanted pryor at wr and never ate his crow after pryor became successful
 I'm laughing at what that call actually sounded like

This thread cant be longer than the MoC thread can it?

Impressive if it is.

Nevermind, its way bigger. Wow

In fairness, this forum wasn't even around in 2002, yet MoC still found a way to get a whole sub-forum of threads about him in 2004. I'm sure if we merged every thread here started by something MoC said or did, and hadn't had them locked for years, he'd be winning in a landslide.

Didn't Pryor say during his freshman year that one of his goals was to be (arguably) the greatest Buckeye ever?

Or something along those lines....

These jerks are never satisfied. Potentially TP could throw for 2500 rush for 500 with 20-25 tds total and these kind of jerks will still complain because he didn't break the records. I'll take Terrelle any day of the week over just about any other qb out there.
I've said it before, but it bears repeating: barring serious injury or an early entry into the NFL, Pryor will shatter Ohio State's record for most career total yards (Art Schlichter currently holds the record with 8,850). Pryor has 4,815 total yards through two seasons, and should easily eclipse the 10,000 yard mark.

Pryor also has a legitimate shot at the total touchdowns record (again held by Art Schlichter with 85). Pryor has 43 heading into his junior season.

Pryor has 19 wins as the Buckeyes' starting quarterback, and will likely end up with 40 or more by the end of his career.

Now consider this: Pryor should reach 10,000 total yards, 80+ total touchdowns, and 40+ wins with no improvement in his play over his first two seasons. Just double his numbers from his freshman and sophomore years and add 5% to take into account the fact that he didn't become the starter until after the first three games of his freshman year, and here are his hypothetical career totals: 10,111 total yards and 90 total touchdowns. As far as the wins, Ohio State has won 21 games the past two seasons, and it's certainly no stretch of the imagination to think that they will win at least another 21 over the next two seasons; that would give Pryor at least 40 wins as starting quarterback for Ohio State. Those numbers alone probably put Pryor into "top 20" status at Ohio State.

If Pryor does take his game to another level in 2010 and 2011, then he could legitimately be in the "Greatest Buckeye Ever" discussion along with Griffin, Pace, Harley, Cassady, Spielman, Tatum, et al.
