WR Terrelle Pryor ('10 Rose, '11 Sugar MVP)

Nice Pics!

Did the whole crowd get into him being there?

I was at the michigan basketball game a few years ago when Beanie visited. We ran into him and his Mom after the game and I told him that he was going to be a stud here at OSU. When he commited a few days later i tried to take a little of the credit. We all have to do our part. :)

Pryor gets warm welcome at Ohio St.

Posted: Sunday February 24, 2008 5:48PM; Updated: Sunday February 24, 2008 5:48P

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Terrelle Pryor, the prep quarterback out of Jeannette, Pa., acclaimed as the top football recruit in the nation, got a warm welcome Sunday at Ohio State's men's basketball game.
He sat in the second row and watched the Buckeyes play No. 11 Wisconsin at Value City Arena.
Ohio State's student section chanted, "We want Pryor" and "Terr-elle Pry-or" as he left his seat at halftime, walking to a nearby room where he was joined by Buckeyes coach Jim Tressel.
Pryor sat opposite the Wisconsin bench with two Buckeyes recruits, linemen Michael Brewster and J.B. Shugarts. Brewster, from Orlando, Fla., and Shugarts, of Klein, Texas, have already enrolled at Ohio State.
Brewster and Shugarts were introduced during a timeout early in the game and received a lengthy standing ovation from a crowd of 19,049.
The veiled message from the fans: "Imagine what we'd do if YOU came here."
Pryor, who walked away from reporters, is still mulling his college decision. The 6-foot-6 high school senior has made official visits to Ohio State and Michigan and has expressed interest in Penn State and Oregon.
Ohio State did not recruit a quarterback in the class announced earlier this month. Todd Boeckman is entering his senior season. The Buckeyes also have backups Antonio Henton and Joe Bauserman.

OSU FOOTBALL

Fans whoop it up for Pryor

Monday, February 25, 2008 Doug Lesmerises

Plain Dealer Reporter
Columbus- Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel arrived to provide the escort. With the "We Want Pryor" chants ringing in his ears, Terrelle Pryor rose from his seat in the second row at Value City Arena and followed his possible future coach across the baseline after halftime, weaving through cheerleaders.
Soon, both Tressel and Pryor were high-fiving members of the student section. The nation's No. 1 high school quarterback recruit stole the show at Ohio State's basketball game with Wisconsin on Sunday. But for the moment, nothing changed.
In his first visit to Columbus since he made his official recruiting trip to a football game on Nov. 3, Pryor was a tag-along. It was his high school teammate at Jeannette High School in Pennsylvania, Jordan Hall, who was invited to attend a recruiting event by the OSU coaches.

"Terrelle just wanted to come along," said Roy Hall, Jordan's uncle and Pryor's quarterbacks coach, who accompanied the players along with a Jeannette basketball coach.

Pryor makes trip to Ohio State

Bad news for Penn State: Terrelle Pryor was at Ohio State yesterday even though he's yet to schedule an official visit to Happy Valley. Pryor, the No. 1-ranked high school quarterback from Jeannette, Pa., made news earlier this month when he delayed his college decision on national signing day. He was set to sign with the Buckeyes but chose to extend the process because he wanted to visit with the Nittany Lions.
However, because he is still playing basketball, a trip to State College has been delayed. And yet, there Pryor was at the Ohio State-Wisconsin basketball game in Columbus yesterday, one day after leading the Jayhawks to the WPIAL Class AA championship. (Wisconsin won the game, 58-53.)
"That doesn't look good if you can't go to Penn State, but can still go to Ohio State," said Ray Reitz, Pryor's football coach.

Compromise: Think Bradley - PennLive.com

Compromise: Think Bradley
Tuesday, February 26, 2008

After several attempts last week, on Saturday I finally reached the man at the eye of the cyclone we'll call The Terrelle Pryor Experience.

It's hard not to like Ray Reitz. Especially in this situation. Because the head football coach at Jeannette High School has a firm hand on the deflation valve in a realm that grows more ridiculously bloated by the day.

Reitz is, naturally, the gatekeeper. Recruiters and reporters and even street agents have been going through him to get to Pryor for three years now.

Continued...

For Penn State fans, though, Dodd buried the lead. He called me a few days ago, and I mentioned to him as background a few things I hadn't been able to print. One of them was that I'd heard Reitz had told a few people off the record that, were PSU defensive coordinator Tom Bradley the head coach, Pryor would be a Nittany Lion now.

"People think I have a read on this," said Reitz. "Every day, Terrelle can change his mind. I might say something at noon and by 2 o'clock the picture has completely changed."

But what about the Bradley statement? Would Pryor really be signed and delivered to PSU were Bradley the head coach now?

"I don't think it's as accurate right now. When I said that about Tommy four months ago, it was because he sort of had a foothold with Terrelle; he'd been recruiting him the longest. But I think it would still matter.

"Things have changed since then. Ohio State has obviously gotten stronger.

"All I was trying to imply was, if kids know Tommy's going to be the next head coach once Coach Paterno wants to get out, I think it's a smooth transition and it helps their recruiting cause. That's what I'm trying to say without disrespecting Joe Paterno. Because who am I to diss Joe Paterno?

Notebook: This time, Jeannette is not a title favorite
Thursday, February 28, 2008
On their way to an unforgettable sports year, success has come easily for Terrelle Pryor and Jeannette.

Cont...

A few weeks ago, Pryor guaranteed a WPIAL championship. Although he said he is "confident" about the PIAA tournament, there are no guarantees of a title this time.
"I can guarantee we're going to work," Pryor said. "I'm going to average 20-some rebounds a game, too."

Nothing new
While Pryor focuses on the PIAA playoffs, he doesn't seem to be in a hurry to make a college decision for football.
Pryor said he has no timetable for choosing a college and that Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan and Oregon are still on his list. He attended Ohio State's basketball game Sunday, but said that was because he went along with teammate Jordan Hall. Ohio State invited a number of junior prospects to the basketball game and Hall was one of them. Hall is a running back who also plays basketball.
