WR Taurian Washington (official thread)

BN - Steve Helwagen - 08/09/06

Bucknuts is now denying the Washington commitment, which they prematurely reported several days ago. The article claims that Taurian will probably make his "formal" announcement some time before his season begins on August 26th.
This is not even close to what BNs is reporting. The fact is Washington's dad asked Steve to hold off until the kid makes it official himself. Every one of their insider continues to say he has committed. This is quite different from what you are trying to insinuate.

Well if jlb has the dancing bananas parading who am I to doubt?

Welcome abord Taurian! (And we'll welcome you again when you make it official, have no fear).

Thought it interesting that the Michigan boards are displaying serious signs of questioning their master.
Top of their wish they had come here list - our latest (Un?)confirmed Buckeye!

Then you agree with me - Bucknuts, in the person of Steve Helwagen, is reporting that there is no commitment. What their insiders are saying behind the scenes is irrelevant to what is being stated in their report.

If you want to mince words with me, then please do it more competently in the future.

Some TTUN pm'd me (why me I don't know, unless other folks got a similar one) stating that the whole thing is an elaborate ruse intended to stick it to osu/fsu and both will announce for michigan. I figured most would get a chuckle out of that.

If I didn't delete it, I'll paste it on here.

What the BN Insiders are saying is also untouchable premium info that we do not post nor relay for discussion on this site.

I don't see anyone trying to make BN look bad here...it has been stated numerous times that we share a good working relationship with those guys.

Some of them even lurk here

Nope, but what everyone can see for free is Michigan fans trying to cover their hides by acting as if they dont really want Washington or that he isnt that good. Look at these two posts. Both are from Michigan fans, however one is trying to cover their butts(if UM doesnt get Washington) while the other is telling it straight:

Re: Were Washington and Allen slated to start? <HR>Please people, you all told us to not overact with Justin King and Victor Harris left because we would get guys later because of it. You told us not to overact when we didn`t sign Jai, Darrin Walls or Myron Rolle because we had two instate guys that would makeup for not getting any of them. You said crap like "you can`t expect those guys to go far from home, we`ll get ours next year." Well next year is here and we still have yet to sign a high profile CB, we lost one from our own backyard while at the same time losing an important pipeline. If there was ever a time to react negatively, ITS NOW!!!!!!!! </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Sawtelle, Washington, Allen not even all state! <HR>I looked up last seasons MHSAA all state teams for class A and B. Non of these guys (Sawtelle, Wash, or Allen) even made the all-state team last season. WTF? I believe Allen was honorable mention but that was it. If they are supposed to be so good, how the hell can they not even make All-state in the state of Michigan. These kids are supposed to be on the same level as Kevin Grady who was all state three years and the gatorade player of the year his junior year. I don't get it. Also, nobody has been talking about Kelvin Grady. He is the best player in the state of Michigan. </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
