WR Taurian Washington (official thread)

Welcome aboard Washington!!

He was at scUM camp as well as tOSU camp and has an offer from both schools. The coaches had a chance to work with him, and liked what they witnessed... great pickup (not to mention we need WR's in this class)...

Yea, I think it did happen, but maybe Taurian neglected to inform his grandmother not to make it public yet. Either way, its very positive news, and it will become true - just a matter of when its offical. Welcome aboard Taurian.

Ya gotta love how JT seems to be bringing in better classes with each season...and bringing many of them in early.

We have six (very possibly seven soon) commits by late July. The 2006 class had six by the end of July, and the 2005 class had seven. So, actually there's no change in regard as to how early we're getting commitments.

I would be content with Saine, Sanzenbacher and Washington at WR this year... actually, more than content with that class. Next year there are a few Ohio guys we could be looking at: Johnny Adams, Jake Stoneburner, Chris Fields and L.J. Sutton. Then, Torrence comes in at CB this year and Clifford at S, with both maybe becoming WRs. That would be 3 w/the possability of 5 in this class, just what Tressel told Aaron Johnson we would take.

I think that we would be willing to take a high-level recruit, i.e. Deonte Thompson in this class. Hopefully soon though, we can start shifting more and more attention to OL/DL, and this class will be a very solid one.
