I’m not going to argue Hartlines track record but I will say his total disregard to play depth was frustrating.Again…..love Day but his strategy to drain the clock…..play as few snaps as possible takes its toll on depth and ultimately roster. Of course the argument can be made that showcasing the talent only invites more NIL and Transfer attention. But the advantages of building true depth for deep playoff runs and in the event of injury surely is a net positive.
We’ve seen this with Day as the HC with other units, especially getting the backup QB in. It’s not just Hartline.I’m not going to argue Hartlines track record but I will say his total disregard to play depth was frustrating.
I think Innis was made captain in part to ensure him playing time so he, JJ, and Tate would run the show together. Much tougher to bench a captain. Is Mylan better than Innis? If he were to come back, would he be in Carnell Tate's spot? Where does that put Chris Henry and Innis?
I think Innis is likely the better slot….he hasnt lived up to his ranking, but he is by far our best blocking WR and I’ll give credit for that.I think Innis was made captain in part to ensure him playing time so he, JJ, and Tate would run the show together. Much tougher to bench a captain.
