what happened at the end of the game? Was in the car and listening to it on the radio. Did he just trip and ball got dislodged on the way to the ground?

That was Olave, not Thomas. Jameis, after repeated failed deep shots, found Olave beat Carlton Davis deep badly and got the ball in Olaves catch radius, but Olave had to lean forward so far to haul it in he got out over his skis and fell during what should have been an easy in-stride touchdown. The fact Olave beat Davis so badly meant when Olave hit the ground, the turf caught the nose of the ball and popped it out as his wrist rolled at an awkward angle, so it was a fumble since Davis hadn’t touched him down yet. Davis was trailing behind the play and had an easy recovery since Olave was laying face down on the turf.

Source: Saints to keep WR Michael Thomas on 1-year deal​


The New Orleans Saints, in a surprise turn of events, will retain wide receiver Michael Thomas, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The sides have agreed to a one-year, $10 million deal that could pay Thomas up to $15 million, the source told Schefter.

Strength training isn't bad for joints
Depends on the lifts and the weight. Shoulders, back, elbows and knees are vulnerable on heavy lifts. Usually better to isolate the muscle groups and focus the range of motion if you've had injuries. If he were a lineman I might think differently but a WR? I absolutely recognize the benefits and need for strength training but the risk seems too much on these kinds of lifts, at least with that kind of weight.

exactly. that's the reason why I don't deadlift 530 lbs.

The weight being that far off the ground treats it more like a rack pull than a full on deadlift going from the weights being flat to your feet on the floor.

Weight starting above his feet helps to take some of the risk off of his back, knees and shoulders.

But, again, the risk....however small......is really the only reason why I don't deadlift 530 lbs.

Is lifting 12 ounces while sitting in a recliner too stressful on any joints?
Asking for a friend.
You‘ll need to have incredibly strong paper if you’re stuffing 12 ounces into your joints.

I think I’ve only seen one that big in a Chech ‘n Chong movie.
