WR Marvin Harrison, Jr. (Silver Football, 2x Unanimous All-American, 2023 Biletnikoff winner, Heisman Finalist, Arizona Cardinals)

Gotta love BMI that doesn't take into account lifting weights. Essentially all the recruits would be overweight by those standards lol

BMI is the dumbest metric ever, why it's still used is beyond me. I was 5'7 180 lbs my senior year and good ol BMI said I was obese. I had 7% body fat, ran a 4.4 forty, and benched 330 lbs. When the doctor read my BMI, she just laughed.

I have wellness checks at work and I'm 5'10 205lbs and bench 315 and im considered obese. Lol
Sorry fellas back to Marvin

HARRISON “COLLEGE READY”
On Aug. 31, Ohio State receiver commit Marvin Harrison Jr. tweeted out a photo of his updated height and weight. Listed at 6-foot-3, 190 pounds on his recruiting profile, Harrison’s updated measurements put him at 6-foot-4.75 and 203 pounds. Pretty good physical measurements for a player who has slid from being ranked No. 59 overall in June to No. 114 in September.

“He’s a beast,” said McCord, Harrison’s quarterback at St. Joseph’s Prep in Philadelphia. “He’s been working his tail off this offseason, and it’s shown. He’s college ready right now so hopefully we’ll get one more season in before we head off to Columbus. But, I mean, it’s been awesome working with him.

“He’s really transformed his body. He’s added about 15 pounds. He’s up to 200 pounds, or he might be over 200, and you saw he’s 6-5, which is just ridiculous for a kid his size and the way he moves.”

Beginning with the guys in the 2021 class, Marvin Harrison Jr. and Kyle McCord really stole the show in Philadelphia St. Joseph’s big 41-24 season-opening win over Chester Life Christian Academy. Harrison was absolutely electric, as the son of the NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver hauled in eight passes for a whopping 212 yards and three touchdowns. Harrison was a favorite target of McCord, who totaled 361 yards passing and three TDs on the night.

You can check out these highlights of the McCord-Harrison connection to get a little glimpse of what to expect at Ohio State in the next few years:

I know nothing of his competition but at the catch at 0:53 was really impressive for a high school player irrespective of class. That ball was very well contested; Harrison just made an outstanding catch against good coverage and made a perfect adjustment while the ball was in flight. That’s just outstanding body control and concentration. Kid also has really nice acceleration.

Hilarious he’s going to be in the room with Julian Fleming and on the same offense as Treveyon Henderson/Evan Pryor.

McCord and Harrison Jr. will be graduating early and enrolling at Ohio State in January.

This duo is going to be a fun one to watch here. Half of McCord's 12 completions were TDs and Harrison Jr. has 2 of his 3 catches as TDs. Coming in with that rapport is going to pay dividends imo and Harrison is criminally underrated. I've got to say this for awhile but man is it a good time to be a Buckeye.

Two future Buckeyes, quarterback Kyle McCord and wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., are state champions again. The two led Philadelphia (Pa.) St. Joseph to a 62-13 win over York (Pa.) Central York to grab another PIAA 6A state championship on Saturday night. The game was played at Hershey Park Stadium. St. Joseph entered the game 5-0 while Central York was 10-0 entering the contest.

For McCord, Harrison Jr., and their senior class teammates, the group won three straight state championships.

McCord finished the game completing 21 of 28 passes for 336 yards and four touchdowns. Harrison Jr. caught three passes for 73 yards and two touchdowns. St. Joseph started quickly and raced out to a 38-7 halftime lead and never looked back.

It was the final prep football game for both McCord and Harrison Jr. who will be graduating early and enrolling at Ohio State in January.
