No one knows that. For all you know, Fahey and Smith have some sort of weird connection we don't know about and his mobility gives Smith more 1 on 1 coverage.Sayin's injury is devastating to his chances. Just brutal.

People saying this can fuck right off. No one knows what the future holds.
I object to saying things like that which make it seem like it's a done deal. No one knows what the future holds. What you are saying is that we can't speculate on anything on this site.
It is not outrageous to say that losing your heisman candidate QB and replacing him with a Freshman who hasn't had any meaningful snaps would be devastating to his Heisman chances. Especially at a position where you would need outrageous numbers to stand apart from the Quaterbacks.
Have you been watching this team since the Big 10 championship game last year. The o-line is not good. This is why Julian is injured. Now they are going to run out a QB without any real experience behind a porous o-line. You say "any adversity"? Losing to Texas was some adversity but I didn't hear the fans jump off the bandwagon.I object to saying things like that which make it seem like it's a done deal. No one knows what the future holds.
Thinking 4 isn't going to be the center of the offense is patently ridiculous. If anything, his performances in the future could very well enhance his Heisman candidacy because he doesn't have that "Heisman caliber QB" throwing him the ball. Again, no one really knows.
Ohio State is still going to THTGDB. That's not up for debate.
The negativity surrounding ANY adversity from this fanbase is disgusting. Maybe the TCUN fans are right, not about the team, but the fans are Charmin soft when any bumps in the road hit.
Shows more of the later. I would rather be somewhere in the middle. If anything, his performances in the future could very well enhance his Heisman candidacy because he doesn't have that "Heisman caliber QB" throwing him the ball.
It is true that we don't know the future, but we have seem enough college football to know that a receiver, even when we know he is the best player in the country, still has to put up outrageous numbers to stand out from the ESPN QB candidates. Having a QB come in with the situation mentioned earlier, it is not a Charmin soft comment that Saying's injury is devastating to Smith's Heisman's chances.Again, no one really knows.

Being Charmin soft fans and looking at things through scarlet covered glasses are two sides of the spectrum here. This comment
