Hopefully it's not serious, considering he actually attempted to play again, but I'm fine with giving JSN the week off vs Arkansas State. The Bucks shouldn't need him.
Just heard hamstring on radio with 2-4 weeks but not sure the validity of that claim.JAXON SMITH-NJIGBA SUFFERS LEG INJURY, RYAN DAY HOPEFUL FOR RETURN NEXT WEEK
Jaxon Smith-Njigba was sidelined from the game on Saturday after sustaining a leg injury in the first quarter.
Ohio State entered the game already short-handed at wideout, as third-year receiver and projected starter Julian Fleming was listed as a game-time decision and did not see any action against the Irish.
"We hope to have them back next week," head coach Ryan Day said of Smith-Njigba and Fleming after the game. "But we'll have to see."
Smith-Njigba left the top-five matchup with an apparent leg injury at the 7:01 mark of the first frame after absorbing a hard hit on the sideline by Irish safety Brandon Joseph. He took a screen pass four yards on a first-down play before Joseph knocked him out of bounds with a hit to the head that appeared to rattle the Texas native.
While the hit appeared to be to Smith-Njigba's head, ESPN sideline reporter Holly Rowe reported during the TV broadcast that it was actually Smith-Njigba's left leg that was rolled up on during the sequence. He went to the medical tent, worked with a trainer on an exercise bike and jogged on the sideline to warm up, ultimately missing two full drives for the Buckeyes.
Smith-Njigba returned on Ohio State's second-to-last possession of the first half. Still, the record-setting receiver appeared to be struggling with the injury as Ohio State went to halftime trailing Notre Dame, 10-7. He never re-entered the game thereafter, taking a spot on the bench with a towel around his head as Rowe reported he was visibly upset.

That's the key. It will hurt but they can live without him for a month if he can get right.4 weeks would suck. A hamstring can linger, but stretched knee ligaments don't ever heal... so this definitely isn't worst case scenario news.
May have to play one of the frosh like Graves or BrownThat's the key. It will hurt but they can live without him for a month if he can get right.
Making Emeka, Marvin, Ballard and Xavier move up a spot in the pecking order can pay huge dividends. Hopefully Julian and Kam get a chance as well, but those guys have had terrible luck.
and those two would be playing even if the plan was to redshirt. now they'll get in 5-10 min sooner in game clock.May have to play one of the frosh like Graves or Brown
While I agree the article is ridiculous, at the bottom it says that it is a post by a site member, not an article by a staff member. I didn't read the comments so I have no idea the tone of the responses. But I believe we all agree that every site has some morons (except BP, of course ) so I'll let 11W slide on this one.JSN BEING OUT FOR A FEW WEEKS IS A GOOD THING!

Just sayin': Absolute worst article by 11W that I have ever read. It is never a good thing when an Ohio State player is injured and can not play. Yeah, it may result in an opportunity for other players; however, the injury still isn't a "good thing".
