WR James Louis (transfer to FIU)

I guess someone on the Rivals message board is saying James is going to decommit and commit to Florida. My guess is that it's someone just stirring the pot, I think/hope he's all buckeye :).

Well - if he's abruptly changing his mind, he's a good fit for us. :paranoid:

lol, yeah he would be, but you guys have so many WR commits that I just can't think that it's true at this point. Clark, Patton, Dunbar plus the silent of Dunkley, thats four already, plus the two you took in last year, that's a lot of WR's in two years. I think it'd be better for him at OSU because the depth is about the same, but he wouldnt have to compete with a WR almost exactly like him in Dunkley in the same class. Louis IMO would get early PT here because I dont see anyone on the roster really like him except for Thomas, but Louis is a better receiver than Flash right now.

Gotta love Recruiting season and the daily contradictions.

Florida Gators Country ? Football Recruiting ? Patton, Silberman open eyes at Under Armour

Ohio State commitment James Louis was hit-or-miss. In the beginning, he looked like he was struggling. He struggled to catch the ball, even having one go through his hands and hit him square in the face. The individual drills were tough for him, but once they lined it up and did 7-on-7, he seemed to turn it up a notch. He was taller than I thought he looked on film, and I really like what he does with the ball in his hands. He did tell me after practice that his decision on Ohio State is 100 percent and he will not take any more visits.

I feel very strongly that he will end up a Buckeye. They made him quite upset when they denied his commitment for whatever reason, and he still has not forgotten that slight.

The new WR coach gives UF hope because he wasn't involved with that slight but he may not be worth the "effort" for UF coaches. They could probably have Adrian Coxson if they just asked, and Dunkley still looks like a Gator.

The longer he looks at UF the better IMO. Because UF wants 4 or 5, and they are almost fill. With Dunkley a Gator they may just take Coxson and call it a class...

UF is using the new WR coach to get back in it with him. Putting the blame on the old one for what happened. He may be looking, but I think UF would have to wow him. This one will be interesting to watch for the next month....

I think it's safe to say that the number of commits that were relatively safe last week might not be the same number today.

IOW, we might well have room for him

Whats your take Gatorubet? Does he end up at UF?
I think that five stars who are not committed at this point cannot be relied upon to commit to you on signing day. The big egos that want everyone to keep looking at them (as opposed to the truly conflicted) until the last minute are not as committed as others (IMO), and so more likely not to come through on signing day. I think they are more likely to play you. (here I DO NOT mean Mr. Louis)

Andrew Bone at Tidesports.com seems to be ecstatic about Bama's shot at Dunkley. Which is to say, Dunkley to Bama makes sense to me, as they do worship their sports heroes even more than we do, the thousand year exception of Tebow aside. See example:

- so I doubt his being a lock with the Meyer uncertainty and the new wr coach a relative unknown. So I do not think we have a numbers problem like we may have had two weeks ago. If we spin it that we need Louis due to numbers (heck it may not be spin) we may get a listen ....what am I saying? We need Louis because he is so darn talented, number be - uh - darned. Nobody I know at UF feels like we have a foot in the door with Louis. Hope springs eternal.
