As GlenOak missed chances in the third quarter, the Tigers were lurking in the weeds. They struck on the first play of the fourth.
Smith adjusted to an underthrown pass and beat two defenders for a 45-yard touchdown. Anthony McCarthy’s PAT kick made it 28-27.
Smith and his sidekick Olack were determined to help their sophomore QB.
"For him coming off not so good of a game last week, as seniors, me and Justin needed to make plays for him," Smith said.
Did they ever. Smith caught five passes for 116 yards and two touchdowns. Olack was almost impossible to defend, highlighting his night with a remarkable one-handed catch on a high pass. He finished with eight catches for 150 yards and an 81-yard TD reception.
