No mercy
Would anyone who is an Ohio State fan actually want an Ohio State National Championship ring? I'm not trying to slam anyone if you do, but I just don't see the point in having one.
Value, thats the bottom line. It will increase in value and 40-50 years from now, you will show your grandkids an actuall ring that was given out and worn by a National Championship starter. I saved the Dispatch from the day after as well as special edition magazines for their values and the glory to have the memrobilia decades from now. Imagine have Rex Kerns title ring from the late 60s - how cool would that be?
But where you are comming from, its kind of like Barry Bonds home run ball alst night in Philly. The crowds were booing him and poking fun. Yet, when his ball went flying into the crowd, EVERYONE was diving and scratching for that ball.
Some people are collectors, some arent. Personally Im a HUGE collector. I have a special room just for all my team signed footballs, my signed magazines, jerseys, pictures, baseballs, etc. I guess it makes you feel proud of your school when you look at it, and it takes you back to the great days when you collected those autographs.....Plus, Im sure when I retire 30-40 years from now, the money for a few items will be nice to sit on, lol.
