I'm pissed that he isn't running again because now we are going to get a crazy ass Trumper for my district. I haven't voted for him yet due to being Never Trump myself, but I was going to vote for Gonzo this time around. It takes balls to stand up for what you believe when it goes against your party and we need more of that in government. I hoped there were enough people with brains to get him through the primary. I fear for Ohio.

Not really. As a representative democracy. His job is to vote in the best interests of his constituatants. What they think they want and what is in their best interests can be completely non congruent.

Also technically he's not supposed to violate the rules of his office for his constituatents whether they want him to or not but yeah so many people in power on both sides have ignored that little bit of the deal.

Day is the constituents.. Coombs decided what was in the constituents best interest... when the two are non congruent... the constituents will rule... Love Gonzo but he outkicked his coverage.. His constituents told him he was done.

He can vote and then they can vote..it sounds like he doesn’t want to fight for nomination..nothing wrong with that.
