WR Anthony Gonzalez (2005 All B1G, US Congressman)

This one I don't understand. Gonzalez repeatedly talked about how nice it would be to stay in school, and appeared to want to stay. Not to mention he is the second best WR from his team, which would make me think he would want to be "the guy" for a season, and get a lot more exposure there.

Either way, I wish him the best, and hope he succeeds in the NFL.

If he is accepted into Stanford as grad student, he will be immediately eligible to play at Stanford.

He's going to the NFL. I don't know why there's all this talk about Stanford Law School. If he does that, it will be several years from now. Any talk about him playing at Stanford is ridiculous.

I'm sure it's been said at some point, but how close is he to getting his degree? A few years in the NFL will go nicely towards law school tuition, if that's still his plan.

Best of luck, Anthony. You've been a pleasure to watch, and a class act. I'm so glad you were a Buckeye!

He seemed like his heart did not want to go. But his brain told him he could not pass up being a 1st-2nd round pick and knowing an injury is possible if he came back. And the coaches seemed to ease his mind and help him make the best decision for him.

Or at least that is what I gathered from listening to him on the radio.

He said that he weighed the positives and negatives of each choice.

NFL: Best case scenario: first round; worst case: a round or two lower

Returning to OSU: Best case scenario: a great opportunity to be here and play another year; worst case: get hurt in spring ball and never realize dream of playing in NFL

That pretty much sums it up.
