It's the offseason and I'm bored so I thought I'd start a discussion. Would you consider us "Runningback U"? Discuss.

Edit- So there's no more confusion, pro careers don't matter. It's about how these players did in college.

No we are not RB U.

We were once considered a Running Back U, especially by the media.
Griffin, Byars, George to name just three helped foster that image.
And, that moniker is still applied by the commentators when they describe their expectations for Ohio State's MO in the big games. Sometimes they get the whole thing right and mention that this is no longer 3-yds and a cloud of dust. Sometimes, they don't.

But now, I am happy to say, the truth is that we have excellent athletes at almost every position one might think of. We have a great Football TEAM. Last year the LBs were featured, in recent memory the DBs have been a consistent strength.
Next year we will again display our wealth at WR, at RB and at QB positions.

And that D will be good once again.

And I could avoid taking a shot at Miami since someone mentioned them...but I won't. Since they think football started in, say, 1983, you could even put Florida (Emmitt, Rhett, Fred Taylor...) in their category. No way have they been head and shoulders above anybody. If anything, they've had the QBs in that time period, not the RBs.
