Worst songs of all time

Wow Scoot...I love these songs. I have an entire CD dedicated to the 80's, however. I guess they are examples of "It's so bad it's good".

I wish I could get a copy of that.

I love all those crappy 80's tunes. Come on Eileen, Tempted, Tainted Love, Always Something There To Remind Me, My Sharona, Don't Dream It's Over, etc...

That 'I'm Too Sexy' tune by Right Said Fred was pretty sickening.

"Come on, Eileen" is a great song! The group was Dexy's Midnight Runners.

However, seeing the following t-shirt just about ruined the song for me.

hail to, is the most god awful song in the world followed closely by:

French National Anthem
Get this party started - Pink
Anything by BritneyChristinaAshelyJessica98Backstreet
Giggalo - Nick Cannon

Victors...Well, yeah, I mean, Much Fichigan and all that... but the song, if you could separate it from the school, works. Why? Lower Key, drowns out whoever/whatever the other school plays to include Buckeye Battle Cry. Simple, repeatitive theme and words, makes the song synonomous with ALL college football, right up there with Cheer, Cheer for ol' Notre Dame and On Wisconsin. I would guess that if you took this to a group of people who know nothing about the sport or the schools and asked them to listen to a series of college fight songs and pick out the best ones The Victors would end up in the top two or three if not the top.

Don't get me wrong, I love our two songs, especially Across the Field, but they're both in a higher key and therefore don't "carry" as well. For a fight song and strictly from a musical effectiveness perspective The Victors is about as good as it gets.

Likewise, La Marseillaise, as a National Anthem, wow! What a winner. Again lower key... everyone can sing it, unlike our National Anthem (as played by most bands) where the key is too high and only an opera star can hit the rockets red glare correctly. As for the, "Yeah, but it's the song for the snooty French assholes..." let us not forget that TBDBITL uses Les Regiment de Sambre et Muse, a French military march.
