Worst show on TV?

there seems to be a number of posters who note that dr. phil is a horrible show. don't you have to watch a show to know that it's bad? perhaps we have some closet dr. phil fans who are ashamed.

My in-laws insist on watching it and is under the delusion that Dr. Phil is great. My mother-in-law thinks his weight loss book is a gift from god (she actually used those words) but both she and Dr. Phil are still blimps. I've gotten stuck watching his show for a few minutes a few times. I'm also a big Stern fan and he enjoys playing awful Dr. Phil clips sometimes. He's dreadful. His "intervention" with Pat O'Brien is one of the worst things ever to air on TV. Stern played clips from that show for about a week. I think it's safe to say I'd rather subject myself to a 24 hour Punk'd marathon before listening to Dr. Phil ever again.

I agree most reality tv is pretty bad, but I do like The Amazing Race, except for the god-awful family edition they have going on right now.

I agree with all that's been said on Sweet 16. But what about Elimidate, Blind Date, and all those other stupid, spoiled whore shows?

By the way, does anyone remember the old MTV sock puppet show "Sifl & Olly?" Shit, that show was funny...

Back in the eighties and into the early nineties, Music Television would play these Videos musical artists would make for the audiences viewing pleasure. They were like little movies set to the artists music. This was before the Real World and stupid dating shows.

You need a different channel. There's an MTV hits channel that does nothing but show music videos all day long. My Comcast cable package has it.
