Worst Bands Currently on Radio

punk bands are very formula, but I like fallout boy better than the rest of them. If you hear any band enough, you will grow to hate them. Personally, I can never listen to Dave Matthews or U2 and enjoy them, tho I can realize they are both incredible bands, b/c they got so overplayed and enshrined by everyone when I was at college.

columbus has some decent stations, if you disagree you should try living somewhere smaller, and you'll realize the pathetic nature of small town radio. One of the worst is Findlay, which is not a small area, yet seems to believe in nothing but country, and must have a city ordinance against any decent rock.

SOME decent stations, but nowhere comparable to many other big cities and even some smaller ones. Toledo has a fabulous rock station in the 104's that mixes newer rock with classic rock, but a lot better than say 96.3

Yes, you are correct. The radio stations here suck so much ass....but on certain days you can get the blitz with a good receiver. The Toledo stations (which we get on a regular basis) play the exact same rock songs every day. It's horrible. The Lima stations come in ok (107.5 isn't bad) sometimes, but not on the southwest side of town so much- which is the direction to Lima, oddly enough.

Hey that 104.X is a great station everytime I've driven by!

2+ pages so far, and no one has mentioned System Of A Down (possibly grouped in with punk). There crap was crap before it was popular, it's crap now, and it will always be crap. So I guess it's timeless. Everytime anything of theirs comes on the radio, I am forced to change the station, or just turn off the radio.

104.7, they play pretty good songs, it's just that they play the same ones. Working on a friend's house this summer, we listened to it every day. By the end of the week I wanted to kick the radio off a cliff.

Touche, I have only heard it while driving by so I wouldn't get that, but for driving by it's amazing

I have to disagree with you here. Yes they are strange, but thay are definitly unique and original. They have a very fluent guitar player as well who does some decent backup vocals. I really like their newer song "Question", but nothing beats the original "Sugar"

System of a Down is different, but they have grown on me. It is nice to hear something different in a time where everyone is trying to sound the same.

Also, I recently got Disturbed, Seether, Trapt, and Taproots new ones. Highly recommend Disturbed and Trapt's!

Im with you 100% there.
I hardly ever switch my radio from 1460.
There just isnt anything but utter shit on the radio right now
It's 1410 here, but I know what you're both saying. Problem is, that they play music on Sunday mornings instead of an NFL preview show, or College wrap-up show. Otherwise, I don't even listen to the radio anymore. AM talk is the same angry crap over and over, regardless of which side of the political b.s. machine you listen to, and like I said before, the music is pure crap.

Queens of the Stone Age - Burn The Witch is on right now and it is right up there with some of the other shitty songs that are currently getting air play. ie: White Stripes-My Doorbell, The Strokes-Juicebox, Coheed & Cambria-The Suffering, 311-Don't Tread on Me, etc.
