Actually, the giant cricket is just creepy. The monster hornet with the tissue-eating venom is a tad more disconcerting.

They do indeed spawn some monster bugs in Japan. Maybe it's all that residual radiation.

Kids keep them (tarantulas) as pets, they can live for years!

Pretty snuggly are they? Like a dog, do you train them to sit up, and shake hands...or is it more like a cat, do you litter train them, and they rub against your leg to show affection?
