Agreed about the welfare thing........Things happen sometimes people need a safety net because the job they had is gone or what ever. however it should not be something you live on. Give the person 6 months, at most a year and then get a job.

why the heck would the "lawmakers" care if illegal immagrants are protesting? It's not like they can vote. I am with Hawg too, fire em when they show up tomorrow. As Homer Simpson would say "Woo Hoo 4 day weekend!"

Unfortunately the lazy ass welfare bums would whine about how the boss actually expects them to work hard and quit after two days. Personally, I don't think a welfare check should be issued until a person can quantifiably prove they have been rejected from available jobs for people of their skill level-if the landscapers/White Castle/Wal-Mart are not hiring, fine give them assistance for a couple of months.
I on't blame the Mexicans for coming up here for jobs the gringos are too good to fill.

Wendy's in the Ohio Union is closed today due to "protests"... or rather, since there's no mass protest happening in Columbus, due to peer-pressured lazy-asses taking advantage of a day off work without repercussions.

I don't figure they're trying to make a statement to the lawmakers, but more that they are trying to emphasize just how much work in this country is being done by illegal

Cal's law school allowed students to reschedule Monday finals to join in the protest. I think ucla did, too.
