Women's Volleyball Begins Pre-Season Practice

The Ohio State women's volleyball team has reported to campus to begin preseason practice for the 2006 season. Fifteen of sixteen players will begin practice on Aug. 9. Outside hitter Anna Szerszen (Fr., Conflans Ste Hne, France) will join the team in September after she represents France in the Women's Junior European Championships, Aug. 26 to Sept. 3. The Buckeyes return five starting players and the libero from 2006 and welcomes the return of right side hitter Briana McCarthy (Sr./Jr., Beaver Dam, Wis.), a starter in 2004 at setter and in 2005 at outside hitter.
