The Ohio State women's soccer team (2-1-1; 0-0-0 Big Ten) fell to No. 20 Pepperdine, 1-0, in the Puma Classic at Tari Frahm Rokus Field in Malibu, Calif. The Buckeyes, who competed a player short in the final 23 minutes of the game, could not overcome the one goal deficit, in what was an otherwise evenly matched contest. It was a free kick by host Pepperdine 7:45 minutes into the second half (52:45) that gave the Wave the lead and the win.
