Well, until your new spread offense ever gets to that level perhaps you should shut the fuck up...

Ahh yeah because Juice Williams is SO good. And Chris Leak is a PERFECT fit for the spread too. Too bad you can't handle criticism and you ban anyone that says anything mean to you. Otherwise people might even speak their minds. The horrors, I know.

This is what always cracks me up about UM fans--you guys always try so hard to grasp at whatever straws you can to justify your conclusion that UM will defeat OSU year in and year out.

That had nothing to do with grasping at straws, you fucking imbecile. All I said was that you struggle with competent spread offenses.

There's a difference between "speaking your mind" and "talking shit". You call out our defense for having problems with the spread, but in retort I have just three words for Michigan's ability to contain the spread: Appalachian Fucking State.

My, you're creative. Please go back through any post I've ever made that defended Michigan's ability to defend the spread. I'll be waiting for something good. Is it so sacrilegious to say OSU isn't the greatest at everything? Yeah, Michigan sucks at defending spread offenses. Armanti Edwards, Vince Young, Troy Smith, Donovan McNabb etc.. have all torched Michigan in recent years and they're all mobile QBs. Yet, I'm not debating that, am I?

Are you really going to try to convince me that you DIDN'T have trouble with the spread offenses of Illinois and Florida? Because the scoreboard disagrees with you.

I notice you didn't list the spread teams Ohio State beat. And as you note about Chris Leak and Florida - not exactly the "spread option" of Illinois, and of course Ohio State beat Illinois in 06... and it did take some horrible officiating to get Illinois over the hump (I'm not meaning that as an excuse, just calling a spade a spade. Doesn't change that Illinois beat the Buckeyes that day)

In any case, the point is somewhat valid in that the Buckeyes have blemishes against "spread teams" (real or perceived) and now that public enemy #1 runs the spread - you can damn well bet Ohio State will get good at stopping it cold. It's what Tressel does. Much like Woody thought - if Ohio State can beat Michigan, then Ohio State sure as shit can beat anyone else (Mindset, at least).

A) I said competent spread teams. Sorry, let me re-word it so I can blow the Buckeyes in every post to fit in. ZOMGZ WE SHUT DOWN PURDUE, NORTHWESTERN ETC... WE ARE THA GREATESSSSSSSSSSSST EVARRRRRRRRRRR! Congrats. Michigan can beat those teams too.

B) I didn't say Tressel wouldn't learn to stop it, did I? All I said was you should be concerned about Rodriguez's offense because dammit, if he can make it work with a bunch of 2 and 3* recruits, he should do very well with the type of athletes Michigan recruits.

Didn't say you did. But when you list another team's problems, you had better make sure your team doesn't also have them, lest you get pounded for it...

I know damn well how my team has struggled against the spread with a mobile QB. But the article spoke about Tressel, coach of Ohio State, working with the USF coaches on defending the spread. Michigan or its struggles were not really addressed in the article.

Woa, dude. Chill. I don't think I've ever talked like "A" above, and I don't think I've insulted you, your team or your intelligence here.

How do you consider Florida 2006 a "Spread" team? Because Myer is their coach? Because they'd run Tebow 10 times a game? When did pocket passer Chris Leak become Mr. Read Option?

Seriously, I'm just saying.... If you're calling 2006 Florida a spread team, so was 2006 Texas and OSU kicked the shit out of them.

You guys sure as hell did a great job stopping that competent App. St. spread team.

And most of our defense is filed with 2 and 3 star recruits, and yet we find a way to stop Michigan every year. Not to mention the type of guys we have coming in.

And you didn't have to unzip your fly and make that smart-assed comment either...
