You ask, we answer. Sometimes we ask, others answer. And then other times, we ask, we answer.

Throughout the
Ohio State football season, we will be asking and answering questions about the team, the players, and anything else on our collective minds of varying degrees of importance. If you have a question that you would like to ask, you can tweet us @LandGrant33 or if you need more than 280 characters, send an email HERE.

Even though Ryan Day decided to start spring practice a little later than normal because of the extended National Championship run, the Ohio State Buckeyes are now just a week and a half away from getting back on the practice field. So, in this week’s fan survey, we wanted to check in with the OSU faithful to see what they are expecting and hoping for out of the 15 practices that the defending champs get over the next few weeks.

So, take a look at the two questions and then take the survey below. And, if you want to go a different direction, feel free to write in other options in the comments at the bottom of the page. We will bring you the results of the survey later in the week, so make sure to check back.

Question 1: Who do you think will make the biggest jump in football spring practice?

Ryan Day and his pair of new coordinators are going to have to do a ton of evaluating this spring as they try to find new starters to step up and replace some of the OSU legends that have departed campus to take a chance on the NFL.

So, we’ve assembled a list of returning Buckeyes who will be looking to make a move to solidify a starting spot this spring. Which one do you think will come out of the spring practices having shown the most improvement?

Will it be the heir apparent (or should I say “air” apparent) at quarterback Julian Sayin? Will it be the next man up in Brian Hartline’s historically deep wide receiver room in Brandon Inniss? Will it be one of the defensive linemen looking to be the next game-wrecker up front?

You tell us who you think will come out of the Spring Showcase having done the most to help their cause? Remember, if you don’t like the options that we suggested, feel free to hop down to the comments and write in someone else. The more, the merrier when it comes to discussions of dudes playing their way into starting spots.

Question 2: What position group are you most focused on heading into the spring?

Beyond hoping that red-letter prospects make progress this spring, there are a lot of holes to fill across the Buckeyes’ depth chart, and some position groups have been hit harder than others. While Caleb Downs is the best defensive player in college football, he is also the only safety left from last year’s suffocating starting unit.

The defensive line will be looking to replace not one, not two, not three, but all four starters, and the running back room lost the best combo of backs in the country. So, while practices won’t be open, and most of the info that we get will be second-hand, we want to know which position unit you are most locked in on.
