Game Thread Wisconsin 13, tOSU 31 (Oct 10, 3:30 ET, ABC/ESPN)

As noted in other threads, DT Larimore's health is a huge story line. He has been a force at nose tackle, making plays and occupying blockers for others to do so. He left the IU game and did not return (right?). Speculation is that it is not serious, but you never know for sure.

The sideline reporter said that it was a sprain. She said that was bad news but I took that as good news. I hope he doesn't rush the injury and comes back at full strength as soon as possible.

Wisky comes in here undefeated, probably ranked somewhere between 20-25. Should be a fun Saturday with early forecasts calling for rain. Lets get it!

I want to see another shut out here, We really need to get over USC in the standings.

We wont move past them unless they lose. Really the only time i could see them losing again is on Oct. 31st @ Oregon.

This Wisconsin team will be tough, they can run the ball and they have a much more efficient quarterback. If our D plays strong and on offense we are able to run the ball i think we will be fine. As long as TP isnt being forced to throw we will take care of business.

I think we shut them down. I mean last nights game SHOULD'VE been a shutout. I think with Coleman back there they think twice about making some of the throws they did. They found a weak spot in our secondary and kept going at it. The guys on our D stepped it up the 2nd half which impressed me. I can't see Wisky running on us and NO WAY they pass on us. My hope is the same as everyones that Tress and the coaches open it up a little. When they did last night TP looked great and the offense was explosive. Hopefully TP will watch film and realize that last night he was a force when he tucked it and ran with authority instead of trying to keep looking for a receiver. It's like he is afraid to run. All in all I felt it was a great effort by the boys last night and look forward to a WISKY BEAT DOWN this Saturday!

She actually said the bad news was that he would not return in the second half, not that the injury was a sprain.

I'm usually an optimist when it comes to the Buckeyes, but this game is a huge concern for me.

If I could have protected only one player on the defense from injury in the week leading up to this game, it probably would have been Dexter Larimore. I am not at all optimistic about his return in one week. Having him there disrupting the center of the line or at least erasing one of the A gaps on every play would have been huge, no pun intended. Sure, the Buckeyes have depth on the DL, but they only had one real 3-4 NG, and that was Dex.

As for the offense, they are still extremely inconsistent. It would have been nice to see them shore up the passing game before playing the Badgers.

I think the Buckeyes will win, but I expect it to be a close one.

Wisconsin has played nobody. Minnesota is a 1 Dimensional team. All they do is pass.

Wisconsins defense is decent. I think this defense is alot better than people think. Larimore is a fine player but we have plenty of very good players behind him.

Getting Coleman back is huge. Hopefully he is ticked about costing himself a game and plays amazing.

I don't think we crack 30 and I don't think they score more than 14. 27-14 Buckeyes

I"d like to see some longer throws even if the're incomplete. Get the safeties away from the line and it helps the running game. Keep Carter in the game on running plays he's a beast blocking. Simplify the reads and allow Pryor to play without doing so much thinking..just read and react..This team has room to grow which may lead to more good things this year..

Taking my nephew, a lifelong Buckeye fan, to the Shoe for his first game Saturday. That probably increases my anxiety level a bit but I also have concerns.I take comfort in the fact that for the majority of the USC game they couldn't do a whole lot running the ball but Clay is a hammer. Spitler should shine in a game like this.

Weather.com says there is only a 20% chance of rain, which is good.

32 carries from Clay this Saturday. We're gonna see a lot of Clay next week.
I would run power right at our defense and dare us to stop it all game. If Wiscy can stay close they will have a good shot.
Conversely, if they get behind(their defense doesn't look so good..defense rank # 70th!) will they panic and get away from their strength?

I don't know. Bielema always seems to find something that works (i.e. running Clay) and then stop doing it.

I dont think hes afraid to run i just think he going through his reads. Remember last year the recievers and tight ends were upset because he looked at his first read and then ran. So I think hes just trying to get everyone involved.
