The Wings had the Pens on their heels to begin the game but didn't score and now the Pens have their legs and their game.
The Wings have 1 shot inside the "box" so to speak and that was a great save by Flower.
The Wings still appear to passive on offense. They are playing pretty decently on the D side of things but they are again trying to be too pretty with the puck and trying to get the pretty goals instead of ANY goals.

I'll take 0-0 after one period. Now the Pens only have to beat the Wings for 40 minutes, not 60. Still going to be tough, but shortening the game increases the odds...of course, it also magnifies the impact of scoring the first goal.

God if Stuart just follows the goddamned rules and moves that puck up the boards and out instead of fucking around in the middle of the ice
