There is an amount to how much tinting you can have on your window... that's why your buddy got the ticket.

I think unworthy cars look very dumb being tinted... I think mine's cool enough. I bet a few of you who have made fun of window tinting have spoilers on your car, which I think look dumb unless its a really fast car.

This is a really crappy picture of it (I'm gonna try and take some at the end of this week, just got the tC)... but I think dark tint on the back and medium tint on the front windows (to keep it legal) looks good on my deep charcoal car.

Someone would have a hard time convincing me this tint job on another similar car does not look good (however the front windows are too dark to be legal):

Winslow Not to rag on your car (which looks good) but I watched Car and Driver television on spike about it and they said it handled terrible because it was heavy. Not that your ever going to have it to the speeds they had it at when handling but how does it really handle? I think the tc's look great and wondered what's your feed back from a person who actually owned one?

BTW you did get a sweet deal on it. After you stopped by in it I checked the net for them And you definitely didn't get ripped off.

Yeah I looked up the blue book on a vehicle with 13,000 miles, then added in all the parts, dealer fees, and tax... and I saved over $4K. I agree its not the first car to buy if you're a tuner, but its a freaking sweet car for an average driver. I had no issues with its handling, and I pushed it some. No comparable model can be found within 3-4K... since it has so many special features that come standard.

The shifter is silky smooth and a very short throw (much easier to avoid the lurch, my girl gets motion sick in cars and she loves this one), it has enough pep to get going in a squeeze, and with the lowering shocks (I'm a lot lower than normal, haven't measured yet) I can take turns much much faster than normal.

i had the windows on my ranger tinted for 4 years before i got a ticket. the truck was burnt orange and the tint was 5% (but registered a 2.2% when it was checked) it looked great and i loved it. i have a stratus now and it would look dumb so i'm not doing on this one...

Just out of curiosity, is $30 a window and a lifetime guarantee a good deal? Apparently the guy will re-do the window completely if anything happens. My buddy had his white Aviator done a year ago and it's still perfect so I believe the guy does very nice work.

I actually don't know about the window tinting, as it came pre-installed on my used car. I believe I saw $150 for all of the windows in my car, but I have no idea if that's good or not.

That's about average. The last time I had my windows tinted was a few years/cars back and I paid around that over at Mr.Tint on frank rd. they did a great job.

Well after all the feedback I think it's safe to say I made the right choice.

So you got it tinted so it doesn't get too hot or bright in there when your gas tank explodes? Pussy.

I'll never forget the night my buddy Howie's pinto caught fire. My '81 Ford Escort may have had holes in the floor, no defrost and a shimmy at 45 that would wake the dead but it never spontaneously combusted. :wink2:
