Willis McGahee (official thread)

People, posting pics of Willis McGahee's knee injury or making infantile remarks about it isn't classy. Come on now, be better than that please.

Well, I'm not classy then...

I have zero sympathy for this guy...had it, wished him well, but he has been an ass since the day it happened.

You say its infantile, I say it is deserved.

To each his own.

While I am not one to wish injury on anyone I do have to say that if you are going to hold a grudge this long then expect people to remind you of what happened to you in that game. He got cocky, talked a lot of trash and wound up having his leg busted. On top of that, he comes to the NFL saying he's the best and while his numbers have been good, his teams records leave little for anyone to brag about.

Perhaps he should just shut up, put up some numbers and maybe win a championship or two and he can say whatever. I wouldn't be as irritated by his comments if he would have said something to the effect of "If I had been in there during overtime we would have had a very different outcome" but instead he chooses to slam a school that was underdogs going in, his team showed no respect to and in turn they found themselves in for a fight, and that's what they got.

Whether he wants to admit it or not, the Buckeyes won that game, Miami had all the time in the world to prepare, watch video and get an idea of what they were up against, and they didn't, the Bucks did, and the scoreboard at the end showed the result.

He probably can't remember it as he was nowhere near the sidelines when it ended. :slappy:

My point on this has always been that they should be embarassed to whine about it. They were 30 point favorites. If they were as good as they and everyone else thought, it shouldn't have been close enough for overtime periods and close calls (not that the interference call was close). Da U jus dint hannel itz bidness. That's not our problem. If we shouldn't have been able to kick your ass, you should've made sure that we didn't. Since we did, you need to take the ass kicking and shut the hell up. :oh:

Well he's probably the best program destroyer in the business.

Miami went from almost selling out their crappy stadium in the middle of a spanish ghetto to having like 15,000-20,000 in the stands under Cokehead's watch.

Granted he "wasn't a good fit as head coach for the Hurricanes"; some assistant coaches are just not cut out to be head coaches and maybe he is one of them. However, he did have an outstanding carrer as an assistant coach at several schools (including at Ohio State).

Coker's Coaching Career:
2001-06 Head Coach, University of Miami
1995-2000 Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks, University of Miami
1995 Quarterbacks, Ohio State
1993-94 Defensive Backs, Ohio State
1990-92 Offensive Coordinator, University of Oklahoma
1983-89 Offensive Coordinator, Oklahoma State
1980-82 Offensive Coordinator, Tulsa
1979 Running Backs/Quarterbacks, Tulsa
1977-78 Head Coach, Claremore (Okla.) High School
1971-76 Head Coach, Fairfax (Okla.) High School

Funny considering I am in an argument on another forum with a Miami fan who claims that we rigged the game and so on and so forth...

Yes and we have so much control over rigging games we missed a chance to play for a NC and repeat in 2003 by letting tsun beat us and not only decided not to win the 2006 NC but to allow ourselves to be embarrassed on the sports biggest stage.

Makes perfect sense. Anyone get the memo on when we have scheduled our next NC so I can just fast foreward to the good parts?

I put it right next to the script for Guiding Light.
