LOS ANGELES (Dec. 12) -- A biochemist who killed her husband by knocking him out and pouring hydrochloric acid on him was convicted Wednesday of first-degree murder.

A Superior Court jury found Larissa Schuster, 47, of Clovis, guilty of murdering Timothy Schuster with the special circumstance that the murder was committed for financial gain. His half-dissolved body was found a few days after his 2003 death in a barrel that was inside a storage unit that his wife had rented.

The defense claims James Fagone was the one who actually killed Timothy Schuster. Schuster only helped move the remains to avoid being named a suspect in her estranged husband's disappearance.

Muriatic is the generic(historical) name for hydrochloric acid.

Lye and Peroxide is much better for dissolving flesh - and that ain't no lie :tongue2:

Once down to the bones, then acid will do a better job.

(I'm just thinking from basic scientific precepts here - not describing how the hooker was disposed of once removed from the trunk).
