Wickman looked like a totally different pitcher today. Up 1 in the bottom of the 9th he sat down Pudge, Demetri (sp) Young, and Rondell White in a row. The pitching seems to be on track now as long as the hitters put up enough runs to win the game.
On another note: Once Wedge realized his stuff wasn't workin against the ChiSox, he should of taken him out instead of sitting there watching him get pounded
Wickman has now had two consecutive saves. Looked great in his first save and did a good job yesterday.
Let's hope he keeps this form.
Has anyone else noticed that Wickman was hitting 93-95 mph on the radar gun yesterday? Very odd for him to have that kind of velocity. A good thing though.
Like I stated in a previous post in this thread, its early to start thinking about releasing Wickman because of 1 blown save. He got the job done this weekend and the Tribe finished 3-3 on the road trip.
