You ask, we answer. Sometimes we ask, others answer. And then other times, we ask, we answer.
Throughout the Ohio State football season, we will be asking and answering questions about the team, college football, and anything else on our collective minds of varying degrees of importance. If you have a question that you would like to ask, you can tweet us @LandGrant33 or if you need more than 280 characters, send an email HERE.
As of publishing time, we are 148 hours away from the kickoff of the 2025 College Football Playoff National Championship Game between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. While that is only a little over six days, with hype around a game this high, that can feel like an eternity.
So, in this week’s fan survey, we are going to give you a couple of questions to ponder about next week’s title game. Obviously, if you are reading this, I am going to guess you want Ohio State to win, but why do you want Ohio State to win? I’ve laid out a few options, but if you have another pressing reason, feel free to write it in below the article in the comments.
And, of course, we are also going to need to know who you think is going to win the title game and by how much! So, take a look at my summaries of the questions below, and then hit the survey underneath.
There are myriad different reasons why we all want Ohio State to win the national title, from familial loyalty to nostalgic sentimentality to institutional pride and much more. But we want you to attempt to narrow it down to one of these options. They mostly have to do with this specific matchup and these two teams, but they do branch out a bit.
This year’s Ohio State Buckeyes have been a fascinating team to watch, cursed with an insane amount of talent and star power, it almost felt like a burden for the program at times, including in the regular season finale.
However, with every punch they’ve talent — body blow or haymaker — they have gotten back up and seemingly gotten better for it. It has been a thrilling and inspiring journey to follow. So, for me, the win will be all about the feels. I generally don’t care about gloating or rubbing things in other fandom’s faces, so I am leaning towards seeing this group of incredible Buckeyes, especially the seniors, survive all of the disappointments they’ve experienced over the years and still come out on top. What about you?
When the FanDuel Sportsbook opened up the odds for this game, it installed the Buckeyes as 9.5-point favorites. That number, unsurprisingly, has come down and now sits at 8.5. The gold standard college football analytics system SP+ has predicted OSU to win by a score of 27.6 to 21.7; or since actual games aren’t scored in decimals, about 28 to 22.
Ohio State has won each of its three previous CFP games by at least two touchdowns with an average score of 37 to 17.3. Notre Dame has outscored its playoff opponents by an average score of 25.6 to 17.
The defenses have performed similarly over the past month, but obviously the Buckeye offense has had a better showing. Of course, three games is a very small sample size and doesn’t account for differences in competition. But, use that information and answer accordingly.

Question 1: What are you looking forward to the most in the title game?
There are myriad different reasons why we all want Ohio State to win the national title, from familial loyalty to nostalgic sentimentality to institutional pride and much more. But we want you to attempt to narrow it down to one of these options. They mostly have to do with this specific matchup and these two teams, but they do branch out a bit.

Question 2: What will the margin of victory be in Monday’s game against Notre Dame?
When the FanDuel Sportsbook opened up the odds for this game, it installed the Buckeyes as 9.5-point favorites. That number, unsurprisingly, has come down and now sits at 8.5.
