I was coming home tonight and waiting to turn onto a very busy five lane road. I was looking to my left and noticed three pedestrians getting ready to cross from the gas station on one side of the road to the laundromat on the other side. They are all crossing in the middle of a very long block and no where near a crosswalk or even a light. Two of the pedestrians were young adults and the other was a kid maybe four years old. I look to the right and then back to the left and the two adults have made it to the middle of the road (center turn lane) while the little kid gets scared and starts walking backwards. The problem is that the adults have not noticed his absence and the oncoming traffic is coming around a curve about 35-40 MPH. Thankfully the traffic stops for the kid and he walks casually to the center of the road where the two adults keep on moving once he gets there. At no time did either of the morons think to pick up the kid or hold his hand.
Just the fact there are people that stupid out there amazes me. Then you add they are responsible for children and I am dumbfounded. I know so many people who have struggled to have kids and these idiots can breed like rabbits and not know what they have. I feel terrible thinking it, but these two would make good shark bait!
