WHY DO I WORK WITH RETARDS

Sorry to dredge this up again, but some bitch in my office just "lost" the network folders containing our files for clients from R-Z. Her finger "slipped" on the mouse, and "stuff just started moving." Turns out she just dragged them into a different folder on the network, which was a vast improvement over last time, when she actually deleted a client and I had to resort to backup tapes.

Actually, you can. Same method: Edit - Undo Delete. Windows XP stacks the undo's too, so if you delete one file, then click on another and delete it, but you didn't mean to delete the first, you can "undo...undo...undo" through all of them.

I just tested it; made a text document and then clicked delete on it, then went to "edit" and then "Undo Delete."

I tried it, too. It works for files that are saved on and deleted from the local hard drive, but not for files that are saved on and deleted from the network server.

Files deleted from a windows server by network users do not go into any recycle bin or holding area - they are just gone. I'm thinking about looking into some add-on software to prevent this, but as of now we don't have anything.
