Okay, so I am writing a brief for this big multi-million dollar case. Typically, nobody really reviews my stuff, but here we have all these oh-so-important senior attorney and co-counsel who want a draft by Wednesday morning (extended from Monday, extended from Friday). The brief isn't due for another week or so.

So I just wrote an e-mail to these guys saying, essentially, Merry Christmas and fuck off. I am not doing it now, and there is a girl I want to see tomorrow, and I'll do it for Thursday morning on Wednesday. Deal.

Ah, that felt nice.

Now off to bed. . .

Yeah, I have to work tomorrow too, I get Christmas day and New Years day off this year. Normally, I get the eve and the day off but we're really struggling at work right now so the luxury of holidays is kind of put aside. Hopefully next year we're in better shape and I can at least use some of the 60+ hours of Vacation time I have.

I think I'm the only person in Boston working:( ... I could have got out of it to with Kenemore shutting down.

I tried explaining to people here that nobody really cares about the Boston Marathon or knows about Patriots Day outside of Boston... but, oh well.

That sucks! I don't think we're headed into the city today -- too much work to do. Our neighbor, who is running the marathon for the first time, is having a party tonight, we we're psyched for that. A great day for partying. :)

Jeesh. Nobody else here even bothered to show up. Usually, there are 3-5 more people here, but not a one of them has come in yet today.

Not that I mind the whiny bitches not being here, but there's nothing like trying to get payroll processed, catch-up on the BP-weekend happenings, all while playing secretary, too.

Damn, just heard a car door. So much for my peace and quiet. :sad2:
