Look at the teams in the Central....

cincy is inconsistent with a horrible manager and too much deadwood for the kids to shine through.

Houston couldn't outhit a high school team.

Milwaukee lost BOTH of its best pitchers AND will lead the league in strikeouts by their hitters.

St. Louis is the biggest threat but after their #3 starter they don't have much and their bullpen could explode on them at any time.

So yes, the team with the goat problem is the favorite at this point because they are probably the most consistent team with the best or 2nd best manager in the division.

that's ok....Frank Robinson was probably one of the 3 greatest players ever and after one good year in Baltimore he really didn't do very well as a manager (1065 1176 .475career) and sometimes pretty damned bad too (although I'll give him the 1988 O's, they were truly horrible)

Dusty sucks. You or I could do MUCH better given the team he is going to likely have.

And now watch since he'll be in a situation where his manager actually might now how to handle him he'll end up with 40 saves and a sub-2 ERA.....just because he's not a Red anymore.

At this point, all I'm asking for is one lousy 82 win season from the Bucs before I croak. I realize the 5 World Series titles will have to sustain me for the rest of my life - at least I saw 2 of them - but can I get one fucking winning season, please?

Yeah, I know...it won't be this year. :(
